Freddy is one of our proudest hyacinth gentlemen. Together with Luna, the two happy parents are now 3 young animals.

Every week we equip the aviaries with rotten natural wood. Our cockatoos can cover their protein needs with the larvae in the wood.

Small but nice - the little residents of the birdfarm are also very active and keep us busy.

The aviculture

With the breeding of parrots, we want to contribute to the conservation of the endangered animals.

 

We use all income exclusively for the expansion of the farm and its goals. In order to support the wild relatives of our beloved parrots, we donate 10% of the sales of our offspring to selected species protection projects.

Our hand-rearing

It is very important to us that our young birds are raised by their parents. However, if nature does not go its natural way, we support the rearing by hand.
 

After 12 years of bird breeding, we have gained a lot of experience that we would like to share with you.

Food plants

With the settlement of a total of more than 3,000 trees and food plants, we can ensure a healthy and balanced diet for our animals - an essential part of our breeding success.

Our husbandry recommendations

12 years the birdfarm büngerheide exists now. With the keeping and breeding of various parrots we have been able to gain a lot of valuable experience. Above all, we benefit from the exchange with other breeders and bird enthusiasts, so we would like to share what we have learned here.
